blenderFrame notesChain placement and front axle rotation... this is going to be interesting. Rotate the front axle with a bicycle chain. Conceptually, it works. In practice, I'm not sure how I'd maintain it even if I could put it together like I have in Blender. Front wheels and drivechain length. Commercial recumbent trikes, for reasons I don't understand, run a long chain underneath to the rear wheel. Camber rules that out and I don't want a 8 foot chain anyway. I'd like to keep everything close to where it need to be. The MantisThe first serious session with the 3D program Blender went well. I laid out my wheels and gained more familiarity with this program. I'd love to post images except that I'm having issues with Drupal--the blog application this site uses. It will be corrected in time. The name of this project is now called the Mantis. I named this project after a 1994 superhero who was experimenting with various ways of getting out of his wheelchair and came up with the Mechanically Augmented Neurotransmitter Integration System.
