Cheat and win

After receiving $45B in the bailout and changing the accounting rules to benefit corrupt and fraudulent finance companies, Citigroup announced a $1.6B profit.

The accounting rule change, called "mark to market", allows companies to declare themselves profitable as they descend into worthlessness.

Death skull for your ball cap, anyone?

Ever wonder what happens when millions of unemployed, ill-informed, formerly working class individuals fall prey to a sinister, demagogic political movement with a bullet proof propaganda machine? We saw the preview to that, when stupid people still had jobs, with the coronation of the Obamacons. Now think 1930’s Germany, just in Jerkwater, USA with Amis instead of die Deutsche Volk:

Beware: white dudes with crew cuts

When your “citizenry” is asleep at the switch, and their “representatives” busy selling what’s left of the Republic to Chinese pimps, what happens when the leviathan of a “security” apparatus that the whole of them consented to suddenly needs to be fed, and there are no more rag heads left in the freezer?

Gun control, Montana-style

Looks like the Montana state legislature has been drinking the same kool-aid that the rest of the states’ rights crew has been drinking. Question: what does a gun-loving state like Montana do when the Obamacons threaten to roll back Second Amendment rights in order to protect us from marauding machine gunners in Mexico?

Balkanization, U.S.A

Can our ship of state make it through the current storm raging all around us, to emerge intact and still seaworthy on the other side of normal? Or will it splinter, break, and falter under the stress of the churning sea, leaving nothing but an oil slick and some plastic coolers floating on the surface?

Here's a severely underplayed story:

Credit card debt falls 9.7%.

As the BBC would certainly say, 9.7% is a *massive* drop.

Mexican Machine Guns, Redux

We've all heard from the Obamacons and the MSM how "90 percent" of the weapons turning up on the border in Mexico come from gun shows in the United States.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/04/02/myth-percent-guns-mexico-frac...

What they're failing to mention is that the 90% figure refers only to traceable guns that are eventually linked back to the US:

Thank You, Mr. Change

How's this for some Saturday morning change we can believe in...

Venezuelan-style statist expropriation of the means of production department:

Let it Bleed

These days, it seems like the only people who believe in Obama's plan to rescue civilization as we know it are the Obamacons themselves.

Mexican Machine Guns

Fully automatic assault weapons ("machine guns" in common parlance) have been banned from public ownership in the US since 1983; the legislation permitted for the future ownership (strictly regulated) and sale (at what would later become five-figure prices) of only the small pool of civilian automatic weapons left in circulation at that time.
